BFA Actor Training Program

Courses include Voice and Speech (Linklater Technique), Movement, Dance, Acting, Scene Study, Stage Combat (unarmed and rapier), Dialects, Alexander Technique, Singing, Shakespeare, Modern Drama, and Script Analysis.

Faculty members include Bill Young, Eve Muson, Paula Langton, Judith Chafee, Jim Spruill, John Lipsky, Sid Friedman, Susan Ormand, Betsy Polatin, Claudia Catania, Michael Kaye and Nina Pleasants, as well as master teachers Keith Johnston, Lisa Wolpe, and Merry Conway. The director of the school of theatre arts is Jim Petosa.

Classical Acting Semester Course
Spring 2004

Intensive single semester course covering Restoration and Shakespearean tragedy styles. Training included scene study and monologue work, clowning, jazz, flamenco, historic dance, armed combat, singing, choir, movement styles, text, voice training (Patsy Rosenburg/Ciss Berry technique), Alexander technique, and Recieved Pronunciation (standard British stage speech).

Interlochen School for the Arts

Interlochen is an eight-week summer program. Courses included Acting studio, Shakespeare, Dance, Movement, Voice and Speech, and workshops with guest artists including Anthony Rapp and Bruno Campos.
